Psychotherapy by Skype or face to face London UK
Some of the issues with which I deal:
Depression Social anxiety Relationship issues Sexual issues Sexuality Stress and Anxiety Trans Gender identification Isolationary behaviour Anger Alcohol issues Drug use and addiction Fetish HIV Safe/Unsafe sex Coming out Panic Attacks Passive agressive behaviour Bullying Homophobia Internalised Homophobia Work/Life/Sexuality conflict |
Members of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning (LGBTQ) community (who can be referred to as members of the Gender and Sexual Minority (GSM) Community) share universal issues but have unique individual concerns.
Because of the shared issues, many LGBTQ/GSM individuals feel more comfortable with a therapist who is both familiar with those issues as well as being accepting, supportive and encouraging during therapy. Details about fees and other important matters, including working through skype or online, are both on this site by pressing here and my other website at www.londonpsychotherapy121.com or my directory entry with Couselling Directory by pressing here. Methods for payment are given on the Practicalities page but if you have an account with Transferwise you will be able to transfer monies easily and at low cost (note if do not have an account with them you may benefit from offers made by that company reducing your costs for transfers by using accessing their site using the link above) For some, sexual orientation and identity issues may be connected with depression, anxiety and other emotional challenges. For others, those issues may not be at the forefront of their concerns but they may still wish to work with a therapist who is affirmative of their sexual or gender orientation. My approach means that therapy will not seek to change, diminish or eliminate same sex desires and behaviours but will seek to affirm your identity (whether gay, bisexual, heterosexual or gender questioning) since self-acceptance can be a key component in addressing personal, emotional or relational issues. I am a member of BACP and also accredited by UKCP as a psychotherapist. I work in accordance with the requirements of those organisations. I work in a gay/sexual orientation affirmative way and am non-judgemental. My psychotherapeutic approach is always an affirmative one. That means that you, the client, is assured that there will be no judgement around your sexual orientation, sexual practices or your gender orientation. Because I work both face to face in London UK and through skype I can work with clients who are geographically distant from me. If you would like to learn more you can contact me by telephone on +44 7956 569149, email at [email protected] or use the contact form to the right. If you want me to call you make sure that you give some times and days (based on the UK time zone) that are convenenient - note I do not take or receive calls when with clients nor do I make/receive calls between 10 pm and 8 am UK time zone. Thank you for reading this and I look forward to hearing from you. |
